The OAC community mourns the passing of alumnus John Gerald Vanderspank, OAC '98A class president. Ken was admired for his scientific insight and talents, especially in the area of data analysis, which significantly benefited the Department’s cropping systems research program for over 30 years.  

From his obituary: "John, a man deeply passionate about farming, devoted himself wholeheartedly to nurturing his farm business and cultivating his crops. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and he constantly sought to enhance his skills. Over the years, he forged a successful career in agricultural sales, culminating in a decade of dedicated service at MacEwen Agricentre. His genuine love for working alongside fellow farmers was evident in his eagerness to both learn from them and offer his assistance."
