Details
OVC offers Scholarships and Fellowships to high achieving applicants who are Canadian or Permanent Residents entering full-time OVC masters or doctoral thesis-based studies. Scholarships are available in F24 and W25 semesters. These Scholarships and Fellowships range from $15,727 to $35,000 annually for the duration of the program, and applications are evaluated based on academic excellence, research potential, and personal/interpersonal skills.
Applications from students transferring from one OVC Graduate Program to another OVC Graduate Program may be considered.
Note: Students must remain registered full-time and maintain satisfactory progress for the duration of the OVC Graduate Scholarship, Fellowship, or Award to maintain funding.
Process and Deadline
Step One: Apply for your graduate program through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC)
Prospective students to thesis-based programs must secure a faculty advisor prior to submitting an application. The deadline to initiate an OUAC application to be eligible to submit a separate application for an OVC Scholarship or Fellowship is May 13, 2024.
Step Two: Learn more and apply for funding
Once you have initiated an OUAC application you will receive your WebAdvisor login (U of Guelph credentials/email) and will have access to view additional details and complete an eApplication for a Scholarship or Fellowship, due May 27, 2024.
Notes
- Graduate school applications must be completed through WebAdvisor (i.e. not simply the OUAC application)
- Direct entry students must confirm that referees, identified in OUAC Application, have received links to complete their referee assessments, which are due June 3, 2024
- All information is contained on the OVC Intranet, including the Competition Announcement and Program Description (requires U of Guelph email, which you will receive upon submitting your OUAC application)
