
U of G alum and Guelph counsellor Megan Gauthier, BA ’18, won a Hilary M. Weston Scholarship Award for her research on the impact of psychological trauma on mental health.

Prof. Dan Gillis, School of Computer Science, received a prestigious Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations teaching award for 2018-19.

Justine Richardson was appointed director of the University of Guelph Arboretum. Previously, Richardson served as project manager for U of G’s International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation.

Kyle Julius, BA ’04, originally from Thunder Bay, Ont., has been named head coach of the Fraser Valley Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. He played for the Canadian men’s national team and for the Guelph Gryphons from 2001 to 2004.

Glenn Hoagland, MA ’86, is the new CEO and president of The Seeing Eye Inc., which provides seeing eye dogs.

Alexander Enyedi, M.Sc. ’83, was named president of State University of New York, Plattsburgh. Previously, he was provost and vice-president of Humboldt State University in California and spent 22 years at Western Michigan University.
