Awards and Bursaries for In-Course Students
Dr. Evelyn Bird Prize
The Evelyn Bird Prize was established in 2017 by Dr. Evelyn Bird who taught at the University of Guelph. Students registered in the kinesiology program at the University of Guelph-Humber with a minimum cumulative average of 77% who have completed KIN*3190’s field placement in a high school in the preceding fall term are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to students who play on a woman’s varsity team. In addition, students already accepted into teacher’s training college will be given first consideration. You must apply by February 15, to Student Financial Services, GH 112 with a letter confirming the field placement completed in KIN*3190 was in a high school and if applicable, confirm if you are women’s varsity athlete and/or confirmation of acceptance into a teacher’s college program.
