General InformationStudent LifeStudent Health ServicesStudent Health Services, located in the Powell Building across from the Twin Pad Arena, provides medical and healthcare services to all students and their immediate families. Student Health Services provides acute care intervention and continuing care for any health related problems. Student Health Services also provides Health Education programming through the activities of the Wellness Centre, and numerous peer helpers and volunteers. Health Services has a multi-disciplinary team that includes family physicians, psychiatrist, nurses, dietitians, and health educators. In addition to appointment clinics, specialty programs include the Wellness Centre, a daily Monday to Friday Walk-in Clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., a dispensary, immunization clinics, and a Nurse-in-Residence. Students are required to bring their OHIP card, other provincial health plan information or UHIP card when attending Health Services for care. To assist with some other non-insured health care and prescription drug costs, the Student Associations manage a supplementary extended health and dental plan for students. In the Fall and Winter semesters, Student Health Services is open from 8:30 a.m. (9:00 a.m. Thursdays) to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Evening clinic hours and Saturday afternoon clinic hours are also available. In the Summer semester, clinic hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
