The scholarship is based upon areas of research pertaining to the history, contributions, and issues by or about LBGT peoples. Preference will be given to an applicant who is involved in the LBGT community as demonstrated by a record of volunteer activities, active civil society memberships, or as attested by a letter of recommendation from a community group, or evidenced by related previous academic pursuits.
