Transcript Ordering
The need for a new transcript ordering process became increasingly evident in 2020 with the impacts of COVID-19 on in-person services. Before this SIS Refresh project, students could only request an official transcript in person, by mail or by fax because payment information could not be accepted via email due to University policy and PCI compliance. An additional consideration was payment processing, with staff previously required to manually process payments for over 15,000 transcript requests every year. Increasing efficiency and improving customer service was central to this project.
The new Official Transcript Request form was launched in February 2021. It is submitted entirely online, and it is linked to an e-commerce gateway to allow for payment by credit card. Staff are no longer required to process payments manually, and students can now request an official transcript all in one quick step – no need to come by the office, buy a stamp or find a fax machine!
