WebAdvisor 2.0: Self-Service
Throughout the SIS Refresh Initiative, one of the team’s focuses has been migrating tools and processes from the old WebAdvisor interface to the new Colleague Self-Service system. The Self-Service tools that have already been implemented include Account View for student finances and Student Planning for course registration and degree/diploma planning. The enhanced functionalities of Self-Service are more accessible and mobile-friendly. As we continue to roll out new tools in Self-Service, we are building a plan for success that will ensure a consistent digital experience for our students.
Computing and Communications Services (CCS) has also been working behind the scenes to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) for WebAdvisor and Self-Service. SSO allows students, staff and faculty to access multiple University services after entering their Central Login credentials a single time. Other SSO-enabled services include GryphMail and Courselink. The team expects to have SSO enabled for WebAdvisor/Self-Service before the end of this year.
