2020 Gairdner Ontario Symposium
Description
The Gairdner Foundation invites applications for their annual Gairdner Ontario Symposium Grant. Gairdner offers significant funding and support to bring the world’s best health scientists to Canada to address the newest discoveries and most pressing issues in biomedical research. Applicants are encouraged to include prominent international scientists, student outreach, public lectures and innovative programming. Partnerships between institutions or organizations are welcomed if beneficial to the overall program. The Foundation is looking for symposium ideas that address the big questions in health research, bring science to the public, engage students, and showcase the best research locally, nationally and internationally.
Organizational Guidelines:
- The Symposium must take place in the 2020 calendar year in the province of Ontario.
- The Symposium must be at least one full day in length.
- The Symposium must highlight an area of biomedical research with current importance and advances.
Funding Availability
The winning proposal will receive $25,000 CAD, communications assistance, and planning support from the Gairdner Foundation.
