Description
The Animal Tribute Committee invites you to participate our Animal Tribute Event on May 14, 2024.
The Tribute will be held in person starting in Peter Clark Hall at 2:30pm for a welcome by Dr. Rene Van Acker and brief talk by Dr. Colin DeMill around his experience using animals for teaching. The event will move to the Memorial Rock in Branion Plaza for a reflection on animal use and will be followed by light refreshments in the Bullring at 3:30pm.
To make this a successful event, we invite you to do the following three things:
- Register: Please register for the event by completing the short Qualtrics survey.
- Kudoboard: A private community Kudoboard has been created for the event. We invite you to participate in the development of this by adding a short story, memory, quote and/or adjectives along with a photo or short video to celebrate the animals you have worked with. Please consider sharing your experiences working with animals in research and teaching.
- Share: Please share this invitation with any interested staff or students in your team. We hope that many within the animal use community at the University of Guelph will be able to attend.
If you have any questions about the Animal Tribute, please reach out to us at animaltribute@uoguelph.ca.
Sincerely,
The Animal Tribute Committee
Michelle Cieplak, Jennifer Frayne, Lena Levison, Theresa Martin, and Martha Smith
