Description

Brain Canada is currently developing programs to bridge translational gaps for brain health innovations—gaps that limit, if not prevent, the effective translation of research investment efforts into concrete impacts on brain health for Canadians. Impacts can include: “social innovation” (stream 1), where Brain Canada can support efforts to improve the health system and quality of life, as well as achieve justice, equity, and positive social change; or “patient-centred impact” (stream 2), where Brain Canada can fill translational gaps in the early stage of discovery to help bring solutions to patients faster. The translational programs are a key component of Brain Canada’s application to the Strategic Science Fund (SSF) – the Federal government’s new approach aimed at improving the effectiveness of federal investments in science and research organizations. If successful, Brain Canada will implement the translational programs over the SSF funding period, 2024-29.

Applicants are encouraged to fill out this brief survey before submitting their EOI. Questions can be directed to Viviane Poupon, President and CEO email: viviane.poupon@braincanada.ca
