OSCIII - Letter of Intent Guidelines and Form
Description
The Organic Federation of Canada (OFC), in collaboration with Dalhousie University’s Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada (OACC), are pleased to announce the Call for Letters of Intent for research in Organic Science Cluster III (2018-2023).
This Letter of Intent process is being conducted in anticipation that Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s (AAFC) next Agricultural Policy Framework will include another Science Cluster Initiative.

How to Apply
This is a two- stage application process:
1. Letter of Intent

Please read this document carefully, as it provides details of the application process, priority research areas, and further guidance about what should be included in a Letter of Intent.
Each LOI should include:
- Completed LOI form as an MSWord document
- Letters of support from industry partners and proponents (can be pdf)
- Letter of support from the extension specialist involved in the Activity (Section 5)
Completed LOI and accompanying documents can be submitted to: rveenhuis@dal.ca for the deadline.
Researchers are not required to submit their LOI to the Office of Research for approval before submission to the sponsor. Researchers are asked to send a copy of their LOI to the Office of Research for information purposes only. An OR-5 is not required at the LOI stage. Researchers will be notified by the sponsor if they have been invited to submit a full proposal by April 24, 2017.
2. Full Application
Those invited to submit a full proposal must submit their full proposal to the Office of Research two weeks in advance of the sponsor's deadline (Internal Deadline May 15, 2017) with a signed OR-5. The deadline for receipt of invited proposals to OACC is May 29, 2017.
