Description
Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 is a dynamic awards program that identifies outstanding young achievers in Canadian business, visionaries and innovators changing the way things are done. They are inspiring others and already giving back to their communities and to Canada. And every one of them is under the age of forty.
Eligibility
The nominee:
- must be 39 years of age or under as of December 31, 2020
- must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- must work in a leadership role in any size organization from the private, public or not-for-profit sectors
- is ineligible if a professional or amateur athlete, musician, artist, or elected government official

If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.

External Deadline | If your nomination will be submitted by a nominator other than the VPR, please submit directly to the sponsor by the external deadline. Please also submit a copy of the full nomination and OR-5 to research.services@uoguelph.ca. |
How to Apply
- Anyone can nominate an individual residing in Canada for consideration.
- Nominees are required to complete an online submission.
- All material is held in strict confidence and results will be reviewed by Caldwell, MNP and the Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Advisory Board.
- Caldwell will ask shortlisted candidates to authorize a third party (Inline Reference Check) to complete criminal, credit, education, media, and citizenship/residency status checks.
- CVs of shortlisted nominees will be shared with Inline Reference Check to facilitate background checks. Further materials may be requested by Inline Reference Check.
