The Canadian Poultry Research Council (CPRC) is administering the Request for Proposals (RFPs) for Chicken Farmers of Canada (CFC).

Description

Chicken Farmers of Canada is seeking high quality proposals to carry out research projects addressing two different areas: 

  1. Management strategies to control E. coli 
  2. Vaccine development for emerging broiler infectious diseases

Applications submitted under the RFP process must pertain directly to one of the two specific topics listed.

Please note: CPRC is administering CFC's RFPs. LOI submissions are to be submitted to CPRC but clearly identified as being in response to the CFC Request for Proposals.

Maximum Project Value

Funds for these projects are separate to those provided by CPRC. 

  • CFC’s contribution to the proposal will be limited to a maximum of $42,000 per project. 
  • Industry dollars, whether from CFC or other industry sources, must be matched with non-industry dollars at a ratio of at least 1:1. Funding ratios with higher contributions from non-industry sources are preferred.

Internal Deadline

Please submit the completed LOI form along with a signed OR-5 form to the Research Services Office (RSO) at resserv@uoguelph.ca

External Deadline

Please submit your completed LOI in Word format to info@cp-rc.ca by March 1, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. (ET). You will receive an email notification of receipt within two days of submitting your application. If you do not receive confirmation, please follow up directly with them. 

Internal Deadline

If invited to submit a full proposal, please submit a copy of your draft proposal a week before the external deadline to resserv@uoguelph.ca
