You are invited to the first-ever CSAHS Research Week: an event designed to inspire collaboration and highlight groundbreaking research across disciplines within the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences.

The week will feature themed research talks by CSAHS faculty from each of our five departments. We'll round out the week with poster presentations from our graduate students.

Join us November 5-8 for research talks each day from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM!

 

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS: 

Day 1: Research Leadership

Current and former Research Leadership Chairs Myrna Dawson (Sociology & Anthropology), Jess Haines (Family Relations & Applied Nutrition), and Stephen P. Lewis (Psychology) will discuss their current research and share insights from their experience as established researchers.

Location: MCKN 019 / Virtual

Day 2: International Research

Adam Sneyd (Political Science), Deborah Stienstra (Political Science), and Noella Gray (Geography, Environment & Geomatics) will share international research findings and reflect on the opportunities and challenges they have experienced while conducting research abroad.

Day 3: Early Career Research

Jennifer Murray (Psychology) and Ryan Broll (Sociology & Anthropology) will share recent findings and highlight their experiences as early-career researchers, including the pathways and challenges of careers in research.

Location: MCKN 019 / Virtual

Day 4: Poster Presentations

Graduate students from across the college will showcase their research in a lively poster session. Join us to celebrate the hard work of our students and connect with other scholars.

Location: Waasamowin (Science Complex Atrium)
