Description
The Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance Tier I Call for Full Proposals launched October 1, 2019.
All faculty intending to submit a full proposal to this program are required to have their ‘Intent’ information complete in the Next Generation Research Management System by Wednesday, November 6th. Intent information includes:
- All fields in the ‘General’ tab
- All fields in the ‘Peer Review’ tab
This information is necessary to support peer and panel review planning which will enable timely award notification. Full proposals are due November 26th at noon.
NOTE: The 2019/20 call is a single-stage call. There is no letter of intent (LOI) stage. For further information about this call, please visit the Alliance website and consult the 2019/20 OMAFRA Priorities document and the 2019/20 Alliance Program Guide.
A series of town hall information sessions were held throughout October. Slides and audio recordings of these meetings are available.
Eligibility
University of Guelph faculty members are eligible to be the lead applicant and/or a co-applicant on any Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance Research Program project. Adjunct faculty members may also apply if they are eligible to hold research funding at the University of Guelph.
Prior to being awarded any new project(s) under the OMAFRA/UofG Agreement, lead applicants and co-applicants must be fully compliant with all reporting requirements for existing projects under the Alliance Research Program.

If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.
