Description

A new e-system for Research Ethics (REB) applications is launching on July 25, 2024.

The Research Ethics Online System – EthOS – brings a dynamic application form, real-time status information, collaboration features and powerful workflow functionality to improve user experience during the application, review and approval phases of human participant research protocols.

Training details will be made available upon launch and a robust support model for technical and process inquiries will support our smooth transition.

In advance of the launch, University of Guelph and University of Guelph-Humber human participant researchers are invited to attend an EthOS preview and discussion. This one-hour, virtual Roadshow is optional but encouraged for anyone considering an upcoming REB application or with questions about in-flight submissions or approved protocols.

Roadshows have been grouped to anticipate the research needs and questions in different disciplines, but you may attend any one of the posted sessions that work with your schedule.

A fifth session, targeted for Library and Office of Teaching and Learning staff, will be scheduled and timing posted on the Research Ethics/Human Participants website once confirmed. The Library/Office of Teaching and Learning session will also be open to those unable to attend the Board-specific offerings.

Replay links will be available and shared the following week on the Research Ethics/Human Participants website.
