Description
The Niagara Peninsula Fruit & Vegetable Growers’ Association (NPF & VGA) invites submissions of research or service proposals commencing in 2018. Projects are to benefit the grape, fruit and vegetable industry in Niagara and may be single or multi-year in length. The research priorities are: Plant Protection; Production Efficiency; Environmental/Ecosystem Impact; Product Quality Improvement; Product Diversification; Genetic Technologies and Reproductive Technologies. Funding Availability
The budget for 2018 is set at $50,000 and will be disbursed as required to fund all approved projects. For this reason, funding support from NPF & VGA is generally used as seed money for other grants. All approved projects are contingent on applicant(s) receiving matching funds if required and submitting proof thereof.

Special Notes
Oral presentations for both single and multi year projects may be requested by the directors of the NPF & VGA.

If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.

External Deadline | Please send electronically to npfvga+research@gmail.com. The total proposal should not exceed six pages. Late proposals will not be accepted. An email will be sent confirming receipt. Requests will be reviewed and all applicants notified of their funding status by February 1st, 2018. |
