Description
NSERC community engagement visits provide researchers, students and other stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about some recent program and policy developments. NSERC engagement visits have been a successful tool for the Agency and the community to share information and build linkages. Over the last four years, NSERC officials have made 48 visits to 39 universities.
These visits also offer a platform for the community to ask questions and seek direct information from some of NSERC's grants, scholarships and partnerships experts. These visits are planned for three hours and feature presentations by NSERC staff, interspersed with opportunities for questions from attendees. Researchers, students and administrators from UG as well as surrounding universities are invited to attend.
Program:
NSERC’s Eniko Megyeri-Lawless, Director, Research Grants, Life Sciences and Engineering and Natalie Weiskopf, Team Leader, Scholarships and Fellowships Division will be visiting the University of Guelph. Topics to be discussed include:
- Highlights of Federal Budget
- Towards NSERC 2020
- Funding Opportunity Updates
- Policy Updates
- NSERC Framework on Equity and Gender Diversity
