Research in Germany and the German Academic International Network (GAIN) are hosting an event to present information on pursuing research in Germany and with German partners as well as opportunities to network with key figures on the German research landscape.
Prof. Dr. Otmar Wiestler, President of the Helmholtz Association, a network of 18 scientific-technical and biological-medical research centres pursuing top-level research to identify and explore the major challenges facing society, science and the economy, will present a keynote address on his vision of the future of science and research in Germany, Europe, and its global contexts.
This keynote will run from 6:30 to 7:00 pm and be followed by a reception from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. This reception will provide an opportunity to network with Dr. Wiestler along with Directors of several of the Helmholtz-Association's Institutes who are travelling with him as well as representatives of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and the German Academic International Network (GAIN).
