Description

The College of Social and Applied Human Science is offering an exciting platform where researchers across the college will have the opportunity to present on a research topic of their choosing followed by an engaging Q&A session with the audience. These research sessions are intended to highlight some of the exciting research done in CSAHS.

Dr. Barbara Morrongiello will be presenting on An Evidence-to-Action Approach To Preventing Pediatric Unintentional Injuries. Dr. Morrongiello is a full professor in the Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology program. She holds a Canada Research Chair Tier 1 award in Child and Youth Injury Prevention. Her research examines factors that influence injury risk at different developmental stages throughout childhood, and then applies these findings to identify strategies to reduce injury risk. In this talk, she will be providing an overview of some of this research and her injury prevention programs.

This session will be taking place on July 31 from 12-12:45pm virtually using the above Microsoft Teams link.
