Description

This "Lunch & Learn Workshop" is specifically for graduate students to help them understand intellectual property and how it may be used to expand the impact of their current and future research.

Learn how to bring your creations to life. Learn why intellectual property matters.

Innovation starts with an idea—your idea. Do you know U of G's IP policy? Do you want to develop your research for use beyond the bench or lab? Do you want to transform your ideas into products and services someday?  Well, then you need to learn how to use IP to protect your ideas and inventions. This seminar will introduce you to patents, trademarks, trade secrets, industrial designs and copyright, and explain how protecting your creations using IP rights may just make or break the value of your research.

Free pizza and soft drinks will be available for all who attend this in-person workshop.
