The Gryphon's LAAIR: Leading to Accelerated Adoption of Innovative Research You are invited to attend the public presentation of the Gryphons' LAAIR Finale at the University of Guelph. This program is supported by funding from the OMAFRA - UofG Partnership and Growing Forward 2. Funding aims to accelerate the commercialization and adoption of new products and services originating from innovative research and technology produced at the University of Guelph to improve the competitiveness of the Ontario Agri-food and rural economy. Eight teams will be delivering compelling presentations to persuade the Gryphons (experts from industry) to fund their project with up to $125K to remove barriers that will subsequently promote the use and commercialization of innovative UofG research by the agricultural industry of Ontario. Gryphon Judges: John Webb, Adi Treasurywala, Gord Surgeoner, Patricia Folkins, Murray McLaughlin, Don Stewart, Sandy Marshall and Rosa LupoMorning Session - first Pitch starts at 9:30am - each approximately 30 minutes

- 10:40 am Bonnie Mallard - Measuring the High Immune Response in beef cattle

2:05 pm George van der Merwe - Developing novel yeast strains for craft brewers
