Description

Through the Research Project Grant Program, the Foundation has set general targets for research funding across two broad focus areas, including fundamental laboratory and pre-clinical investigations; clinical projects and epidemiological studies; psychosocial, survivorship, supportive care and quality of life research. Each broad focus area will have its own peer grant review panel.

The Fellowship program supports research and/or clinical and professional training for graduate and post-graduate level scientists, physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to pursue and develop expertise in breast cancer research and care.  Category One: Research Fellowships - 

For Doctoral or Postdoctoral researchers to develop expertise and capacity in the fields of breast cancer and breast health research. Research training is expected to take place on a full-time basis. 

Eligibility

Research Project Grant Program: Faculty in Province of Ontario – Canadian citizen or PR

Fellowship program: Postdoctoral researcher – Canadian citizen or PR - the fellowship program must be hosted at an Ontario University – has identified a faculty member as the Fellowship supervisor

Funding Availability

Research Project Grant Program: $150,000/year - maximum of $450,000/grant – anticipates 16 grants funded

Fellowship program: Determined annually by the CBCF-Ontario Region Board of Directors – anticipates 10 grants funded
