Mitacs and Sorbonne Universities have partnered to support a unique, two way mobility opportunity. For a limited time, graduate students at Canadian universities, and Masters and PhD students at Sorbonne Universities can apply for a competitive Mitacs Globalink Research Award to support a research project jointly supervised by Canadian and Sorbonne University faculty.

For faculty, this program is a new opportunity to establish or reinforce research collaborations through graduate students’ international mobility between Canada and Sorbonne Universities.

Eligibility

Full time Senior Undergraduate, or graduate students at Canadian universities. Note: Senior undergraduates must have completed their 2nd-last year of study prior to departure, with one or two years of study left to complete their degree, and maintain a minimum of a B average or equivalent thereof.

Funding Availability

Canadian students receive up to$5,000 for travel and project related costs such as: visa reimbursements, return airfare and health insurance. A limited number of awards are available.

Project Duration

12 – 24 weeks at Sorbonne Universities for Canadian students. Projects can begin as early as June 1, 2015 and as a late as December 31, 2015.

Applicant submits a signed OR-5 form along with the complete application (including signature page signed by intern and host supervisor, and student CV, and letters of support) to: research.services@uoguelph.ca

External Deadline

(3 pm PDT)

Applicant submits complete application by email as a PDF document to: apply@mitacs.ca with subject heading: “[Student first and last name]_GRA-Sorbonne.” NOTE: only signature page of the proposal should be saved as a scanned PDF.
