Description
Through a number of different research programs, OMAFRA funds research in seven theme areas:
- Agricultural Policy and Rural Development
- Bioeconomy - Industrial Uses
- Emergency Management
- Environmental Sustainability
- Food for Health
- Product Development and Enhancement through Value Chain Collaborations
- Production Systems (Plants and Animals)
The NDRP is a flexible research program and priorities for the program shift annually. This Call for Proposals for a letter of intent is focused on honey bee health. Section three of the Research Requirements Document gives a full description of the honey bee health research priority, the Research Requirements Document can be found on the OMAFRA RMS. The proposal must clearly demonstrate how the research addresses a stated research priority.

Maximum $200,000 per project (including 25% indirect costs)
Indirect Costs
25% Indirect Costs are eligible
Project Duration
From 6 to 36 months

If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.

External Deadline | The letter of intent requires a full budget and a signed OR5 form be submitted to the Office of Research. Should your proposal be selected to submit a full proposal another OR5 form will not be required. | |
Internal Deadline | Please submit your letter of intent online in the RMS and email your signed OR5 form to Research Services at resserv@uoguelph.ca before noon on the 21st of June. |
