Description
Please join us at the Agri-food Data Canada – Spring Launch on June 2nd to help us celebrate as we reach a new milestone: a suite of new tools to help researchers create FAIR agri-food data. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together researchers and the data-minded from across campus to show you how Agri-Food Data Canada is here to support you in your research and to help you access and manage the data you need to make new discoveries.
In the morning you will be introduced to the Semantic Engine, a set of tools helping researchers generate machine-accessible meaning for their data. You will get a first look at the new Ontario Dairy Research Centre Data portal and fellow researchers will share their early experiences with the new tools. We’ll close the morning with a discussion about next steps for ADC and we look forward to hearing your thoughts to help shape the future of ADC.
In the afternoon, we will be hosting a hands-on (in-person only) demo of the Semantic Engine tools – so please bring your laptop!
Please click here to reserve your spot. Space is very limited so register early! You will have the option to attend just the morning presentations, the morning presentations and lunch, or all day. If you are not able to attend in-person, the morning presentations will be available to tune-in virtually during the event. We look forward to connecting and learning about how we can better assist you!
