Program
IC-IMPACTS, RHI, and ISIC: Canada India SCI Innovation Award – Getting Solutions to Market [1]
Description
IC-IMPACTS is soliciting proposals aimed at addressing the treatment and care of people living with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and secondary complications. This competition seeks to attract innovators, medical practitioners and researchers in Indian and Canadian universities/institutes to work collaboratively across borders, develop and commercialize innovative technologies in the treatment and care of people who are living with SCI and associated secondary complications.
During the February 2018 visit of the Honourable Kirsty Duncan to New Delhi, an agreement was signed by IC-IMPACTS, the Rick Hansen Institute (RHI), and the India Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC) to develop this grant competition that will bring about innovative solutions in the treatment and care of millions of people in India and Canada. As a result, IC-IMPACTS (Canada), RHI (Canada), and ISIC (India) have now partnered to launch this grant competition.
Applicants are not required to have pre-existing partnerships with counterparts in India and Canada. RHI, IC-IMPACTS, and ISIC will help identify partners for promising applicants in their respective countries.
