The Office of Research Services, with participation from Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) representatives and U of G faculty, is offering an information session on NSERC Discovery Grants (DG).

10:20am | NSERC Discovery Grant - Program overview and tips for preparing a strong application Kenn Rankine, Program Officer, Environmental Sciences, NSERC Topics will include overview of the NSERC Discovery Grant (DG) program and "how to" grant writing tips, followed by Question & Answer (Q & A) period. |

12:30pm | Discovery Grant preparation tips and overview of the NSERC Discovery Grant Adjudication Process Presentation by UofG faculty who are members of NSERC Discovery Grant Evaluation Groups (EGs):

1:00pm | Grant-writing advice from UofG researchers UofG faculty, including members of NSERC EGs and successful awardees, will provide insight into the peer review process, the intricacies of specific EGs and tips for writing successful NSERC Discovery Grants. Learn about available support from the Office of Research Services. Brief presentations and panel discussion, followed by open Q & A. Two parallel sessions: GROUP A: Life Sciences Evaluation Groups (Location: UC 442)
