Description
Equestrian Canada (EC) will soon be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP), attached below, in a search of a contractor to take on the vital project of conducting a Canadian Equine Industry Impact Study. Prior to issuing the RFP, EC is inviting equestrian industry stakeholders to collaborate with EC by reviewing the RFP and providing their feedback. EC is looking specifically for comments and suggestions to help ensure the study meets the needs of the entire equine industry in Canada. Please note all comments will be considered in the creation of the content for the RFP, as well as the criteria the advisory group will use when considering proposals.
Comment Period The RFP comment period is now officially open and will close on June 29, 2018 at 12 p.m. EDT.Criteria for Comments
In order for comments to be considered, they must include the following:
- Name
- Date
- Industry/Equine Group represented
- Confirmation of the need for an updated study
- The scope and criteria outlined in proposed RFP
- Intended outcome of study
- Suggested criteria for selection of successful bidder for advisory recommendation
- Recommendations for areas of advertisement for the RFP

Funding Contributions & Letters of Support
Please note that EC will be seeking government funding from the Canadian Agricultural Partnership funding stream with Agriculture and Agri-food Canada for the completion of the Equine Economic Impact Study.
If you wish to support this project, EC welcomes letters of support – which are required as supporting documentation for a successful funding application. The Letter of Support Template is attached.
Cash or in-kind contributions from individuals or organizations are also welcome to support this initiative that will benefit the entire Canadian equestrian industry from coast-to-coast.
