Description
The objective is to support collaborative research projects between Indian and Canadian institutions entailing scholars’ mobility as well as capacity building of scholars/researchers between India and Canada. The research theme will build on issues concerning social sciences as well as engineering (STEM).
Eligibility
Faculty members from Canadian or Indian institutions are eligible. Either applicant from India or Canada can be the lead, but can submit only one application. In addition to the two main applicants, SPG should include students/young researchers (at least 1 from India and 1 from Canada) in the research team to work on the projects. In addition to applications’ merits, preference will be given to those member institutions who have not received any SICI grants in the past 2 years (2014-15 and 2015-16).
Funding Availability
Up to $6,000 per project.

Project Duration
The grant must be fully utilized between 1 November 2016 – 31 August 2017.
