On June 3, 2021 the Retail Council of Canada announced the winners of the 28th Canadian Grand Prix New Products Awards, recognizing top products introduced into the Canadian market in 2020.
The Research Innovation Office at the University of Guelph (U of G), in partnership with the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance, a collaboration between the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and the U of G, hosted the Gryphon’s LAAIR Pitch Competition, the highlight of the Research Innovation Festival.
In the Spring of 2019, the Government of Ontario convened an independent expert panel to review the protection and commercialization of intellectual property (IP) that arises from research conducted at Ontario’s research institutions, including universities, colleges, and hospitals. The impetus for the panel was a recognition that as IP grows in importance within the global economy, a strategy for how best to develop and commercialize IP is important for Ontario’s future.
