Researchers across #UofG’s campus will receive more than $7.86 million in federal funding to support studies on a diverse range of topics, ranging from antimicrobial resistance and visual distraction to feather pecking and the behaviour of atomic nuclei. 

In total, #UofGuelph researchers will receive funding as follows: 

• $4.8 million from the Canada Research Chairs [1] (CRC) program 
• More than $2.9 million in new Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council [2] (NSERC) funding Discovery [3] grants, Subatomic Physics Discovery [4] grants and Research Tools and Instruments [5] grants 
• $150,000 from the Canada Innovation Centre [6]’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund [7] (JELF)
