Happy Farmers - Low Cost Corn Shellers to Reduce Drudgery
Corn shellers were introduced to hillside subsistence farmers in Nepal as a simple innovative techniques by the SAK Nepal project (Sustainable Agriculture Kits), which was funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and implemented by the University of Guelph and LI-BIRD in Nepal, under the supervision of Professor Manish N Raizada. Hillside subsistence farmers in Nepal was tremendously benefitted from this simple innovative technique, specially reducing female drudgery .
