Researcher relaxation brings out the “curiosity” of calves! - Catalina Medrano-Galarza
This photo was taken one morning while cleaning the pens where calves that were part of my Ph.D. last study where housed in groups. Calves like to play around and love to sniff everything, including my boots.
My study was a control trial that aimed to evaluate the effects of age of introduction to the group pen with an automated milk feeder on calves health and performance, and human labour. This trial was conducted at the University of Guelph Livestock Research and Innovation Centre – Dairy Facility. This photo was taken in July 23, 2017.
