Required Qualifications:
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. Applicants must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), basic knowledge of plant taxonomy, structure and function, familiarity and experience with plant ecological research in field settings, excellent experimental design, statistical and computing skills, and have the ability and aptitude to communicate clearly and enthusiastically to undergraduate students. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available from the start of the contract (Sept. 8, 2020) to complete all assigned duties, available to attend all mandatory meetings, invigilation of IB mid-term and final exams, and be available to the end of the contract (Dec. 24, 2020) to grade final exams/papers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer students with experience with research in field settings and who have experience writing and publishing peer reviewed scientific papers and/or submitting research proposals.
