Other Course Description or Assignment Information: 
This position will support both PHYS*1600 DE and PHYS*2600 DE course offerings, and will be supervised by the Undergraduate Course Coordinator, Dr. Massa. The Candidate will primarily undertake duties that simultaneously support both courses, with additional secondary roles that are specific to each course, separately. Other Duties Described: 
The Candidate will be involved with the development of content for both courses (e.g. creation of question banks). Additional administrative duties will include familiarization with eBook platform access, assisting with Courselink adjustments (e.g. grades, accommodations). Student consultation will focus on a subset of course content and will occur through Discussion forums. The Candidate may also be asked to invigilate exams in other in-person undergraduate physics courses.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
BSc in Physics, previous experience in a general astronomy course at the undergraduate level.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Previous TA experience in an Astronomy Course; familiarity with Coureslink and previous experience with online/Distance Education delivery format.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
TA will be required to meet, in-person, with course instructors prior to semester starting and throughout the semester as required (anticipate a weekly or bi-weekly basis).
Period of the Work Assignment (Start Date and End Date):

Wage Rate (per hour, per semester, per Full-load 1.0 Work Assignment): 
GTA $47.87/hr; $6,707.00/semester effective 2024/25
