Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate should be enrolled in one of the Department of Physics majors (Physics, Theoretical Physics, Biological & Medical Physics, or Chemical Physics) and must have completed at least 4 semesters of their program, demonstrating strong academic success. Strong communication skills, with positive, supportive interactions is essential – previous tutoring experience, while not necessary, is valuable. Candidates must be comfortable conducting physical experiments and competent with hands-on tasks.
The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate strong judgment and academic maturity. Enthusiasm and an ability to explain physics concepts to students from a wide range of undergraduate backgrounds would be a significant asset.
Candidates should submit a schedule showing their availability, with regard to both the scheduled help periods listed above, and for purposes of organizing a regular preparation/meeting time with co-workers.
