COA is hiring a Research Communications Assistant to support three key research-related initiatives. Reporting to the College Research Manager, and working with the College Marketing and Communications team, the successful candidate will contribute to the following projects: 1. Develop a Research Communications Program for Students: o Research existing research communications programs and opportunities across the University (e.g., micro-credentials); o Explore best practices in research content development and training; o Propose a sustainable and budget-conscious program model; o Design training resources for future student participants. This includes working with COA’s Marketing and Communications team to develop guidelines and templates for producing various forms of content (e.g. developing social media content for different platforms; writing accessible news articles; etc.) 2. Create Research Showcase Content and Platform: o Work with the COA’s Marketing and Communications team to develop a website highlighting faculty research; o Meet with researchers to create written and video content showcasing their work; o Film and edit research-focused interviews. 3. Coordinate Fall Research Speaker Series o Liaise with researchers to secure speakers and schedule 4 research panels for Fall 2025. o Support promotion and outreach for the series Required Skills: • Strong communication and writing skills • Website development and digital content creation • Project planning and time management • Research and analytical skills • Marketing and promotional strategy This role will be supervised by Jamie Campbell.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Applicant must be enrolled as an PhD student in IMPR
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in IMPR and have excellent analytical and writing skills
