Duties and Responsibilities

Other Duties Described: 
Assisting with the development of IICSI’s research archive: - cataloguing physical and digital materials - digitizing documents - video and photo editing as needed - adding information and metadata to archival documents using appropriate content management software - managing materials according to archival best practices - attending meetings as necessary IICSI is hosting an IMPR GSA studentship to support the development of our research archive. This work will include a combination of: cataloguing digital and physical materials; developing polices and best practices for their stewardship; tagging and categorizing information according to ATOM (or comparable software); uploading materials and creating information hierarchy for storage; as well as light photo and video editing as required. Note that this position will require regular check ins with IICSI staff engaged in the archiving project. This position will require some on-campus work, and is flexible with the candidate’s availability. In-person work may include standing for long periods of time, and light lifting. Hours are flexible. The position will be supervised by Dr. Eric Fillion and Julia Busatto.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Applicant must be enrolled as an PhD student in IMPR.
Preferred Qualifications: 
PhD student in IMPR and have excellent knowledge of audio equipment
