Lectures are delivered in collaboration with 3 other faculty members. This position will cover topics from a transmission genetics context including: Recombination at the chromosome level, chromosome rearrangements and how they go through meiosis; Genome organization and impacts on traits, genetic variation and recombination; RNAi impact on traits and genetic variation; The epigenome and impacts on traits, genetic variation and recombination; Parental imprinting case study.

Manage course material and communications via CourseLink relating to specified lecture topic. Attend co-instructor meetings as required. Provide questions for mid-term and final exams and be present to invigilate mid-term exam (date TBA). Maintain office hours (in-person or virtually) as need be.

Degree: 
PhD in progress related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
In-depth knowledge of plant and animal life cycles, genetics and related subject matter. Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written). Possess excellent time management skills. Experience in use of presentation software.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree: 
PhD related to field
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Many years of successful teaching related to contents of the course.

Days and Times Required: 
Lectures: Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays - 10:30 AM - 11:20 AM in ROZH 101. Must be available for instructional team meetings as required.
