Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Degree:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with specialization in jazz and/or relevant industry performance experience.
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Successful teaching related to field at college or university level
Required competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Engagement with jazz repertoire and performance traditions (including improvisation and ensemble playing) is required as demonstrated through education, current/recent performance practice, and teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree:

Master's degree in performance and/or equivalent training and industry performing experience.
Prior Teaching Experience: 
Many years of successful teaching related to contents of the course.
Specific Preferred competence, capability, skill and ability related to course content: 
Demonstrated teaching of jazz repertoire, skills, and improvisation at college or university level. Many years of performing experience related to field.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
One hour/week per student as negotiated between student and instructor.
