Other Course Description or Assignment Information: 
The total number of assignments is a low estimate of the number of available appointments. This course includes weekly scheduled 3-hour lab/tutorial sections, which will be delivered in-person. These sections are scheduled to run Monday through Wednesday, with start times of 8:30 am, 11:30 am, 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm (see WebAdvisor for complete details of the Fall 2023 schedule – additional sections may open based on student enrollment). Lab sections will be led by a TA, with a second TA acting in a supporting capacity. The position will require every full-time teaching assistant to run regular weekly time commitments OF 2-3 OF THE SCHEDULED SECTIONS. Tutorial sections will be run by a single TA. Other Duties Described: 
Candidates will be required to attend mandatory meetings with the Lab Coordinator to complete lab work prior to running the lab sections. This work will be coordinated and supervised by the Lab Coordinator. There will be the opportunity for some teaching assistants to take on an emphasis in (i) developing quiz content, or (ii) creating tutorial material for the course. This work will be coordinated and supervised by the Instructors; associated meetings will be scheduled during the semester, as needed. In all roles, candidates are expected to communicate with supervisors and co-employees in a timely manner, and to adhere to work deadlines as they are presented.

GTA will be required to attend all mandatory TA meetings and training, including introductory meeting/training to be scheduled Sept 5-15, 2023 EVEN IF you have already TA'd this course before. The position will require every full-time teaching assistant to run regular weekly time commitments OF 2-3 OF THE SCHEDULED SECTIONS. Lab & Tutorials: Mon, Tue & Wed 8:30am-11:20am, 11:30am-2:20pm, 2:30pm-5:20pm and 7:00pm-9:50pm. TAs are expected to arrive ~5 minutes in advance of their scheduled assignment to allow students entry into the facilities.
