This course provides an introduction to the evolution and history of planning and its conceptual base, as well as a study of the theoretical foundations of planning. The course emphasizes the Canadian scene and Canadian planning literature. Candidates must be available during class hours. The University of Guelph has vaccination and masking policies that may be altered with limited notice depending on COVID-19 circumstances and advice from government, public health authorities, and prevailing science. Currently, the vaccination and masking policies are paused but may resume with little advance notice to address the health risks. Should this occur, vaccinations will be required. Required Qualifications:
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. The candidate must be a graduate student in a relevant field and have working knowledge of land use planning in the Canadian context. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available to complete all assigned duties as determined by the instructor(s), available to attend all mandatory meetings, and available until the end of the contract to invigilate and grade final exams.
