Required Qualifications:
Applicants must:
(a) be enrolled in a Chemistry graduate program,
(b) have completed a B.SC. degree in chemistry or a related field,
(c) have previous experience teaching in chemistry laboratories,
(d) be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching and satisfactory teaching performance,
(e) be able to demonstrate an ability to create and maintain a safe work place,
(f) Applicants must be able to provide documentation indicating they have completed the following training programs: Lab Safety Training (EHS), WHMIS Training (EHS), Worker Health & Safety Awareness (EHS), Accessible Service Provision (CourseLink) and Making Education Accessible (CourseLink).
Selection of successful candidates will be made in accordance with Article 11.04 of the CUPE 3913-1 collective agreement. Assignments to particular courses will be made in accordance with departmental needs and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
(a) Research area of focus in analytical chemistry,
(b) Previous Lab TA/Demonstrator experience for CHEM*1040 or CHEM*1050 or CHEM*2400/2480,
(c) Previously taken CHEM*2400 as an undergraduate student or previous experience as TA for CHEM*2400/2480
