The Office of the Vice-Provost (Student Affairs)
Welcome to Student Affairs at the University of Guelph
The Division of Student Affairs is committed to advancing the student experience and is proud to offer quality programs and services that aid in the development of the person, scholar, and citizen. Our team includes the following six departments that report into the Office of the Vice-Provost (Student Affairs): Athletics, the Child Care & Learning Centre, the Experiential Learning Hub, Residence Life, Student Experience, and Student Wellness Services.
Together, our team helps students take their learning to the next level and provides opportunities to start a journey of self-exploration and growth, from pre-arrival to graduation and beyond. Our distinct and varied services include career and co-operative education experiences, residential life and off campus living support, diversity and inclusion initiatives, student organizations, leadership and skill development programs, fitness and recreation options, child care and learning support, as well as health services including counselling, and wellness promotion.
Our team also plays a critical role in supporting faculty and staff success. Student Affairs offers resources and training to faculty and staff which enhance their skills and help them to stay up to date with the latest trends in student development and campus culture. We are also here to collaborate on student enrichment opportunities within the curricular experience, support student mental and physical well-being, aid in student conduct and restorative justice practices, advise on accessibility and accommodations, and to help connect students in need of additional guidance to the services they require.
The division is confident in our ability to create a brighter tomorrow for all. We look forward to the continued work ahead in support of our distinctive student experience and hope you will reach out to explore all we have to offer.
