Central Animal Facility is a centre for the maintenance, by skilled and experienced personnel, of quality animals in a controlled environment as a service to departments across the University.
Campus Co-op
The Guelph Campus Cooperative was started in 1913 by students wishing to organize their own buying power. The Co-op runs the Co-op Bookstore and Guelph Campus Co-op Housing.
Campus Days
Campus Days is an annual liaison event held in March that is coordinated by Admission Services. Information is on the Admission Services Events page. Guelph applicants, other prospective students and their families gain knowledge about Guelph through sessions, displays, and campus tours. It is a free event that regularly attracts some 4,500 people to the university.
Cannon
The cannon is a British naval gun, rumoured to have been used in the War of 1812. Its name is “Old Jeremiah” and it is located in Branion Plaza, in front of Raithby House and across from the UC. It is a long-standing Guelph tradition for students to paint the cannon with messages in order to promote events and organizations.

The Co-Curricular Transcript is an official record of an eligible student’s involvement in verified student activities that have occurred outside the classroom. It was originally piloted at Guelph in 2010-2011.

CEGC
Civic Engagement and Global Citizenship was both a Student Life unit and the name of an interdisciplinary Certificate. Neither exists anymore by that description. The Certificate was ended and the unit is now known as Campus and Community Integrated Learning (CCIL).

The Canadian Federation of Students is the national voice for students, representing over 400,000 students across Canada. The CFS lobbies for changes aimed at making post-secondary education more accessible to all students. All University of Guelph students are members of this organization.

College of Arts is largely located in the McKinnon Building. It includes the Departments of History and Philosophy as well as the Schools of Fine Art and Music, Languages and Literatures and English and Theatre Studies.
College Governments are attached to each of Guelph's seven Colleges and, through their elected student members, represent student interests to various administrative bodies at the University.
College Governments
There are seven colleges at the University of Guelph: COA, CBE, CBS, CPES, CSAHS, OAC and OVC. Every college has a student government attached to it that is run by a group of students who are elected each year by the student body (much like a Student Council in high school). These include CASU, CBE-SA, CBS-SC, CPES-SC, CSAHS-SA, SF-OAC and CVSA.
Connection Centre
Until 2007 this was a resource centre staffed by Peer Helpers as a gateway to the services and programs offered by Student Life and Career Services.
Consensual Non-Monogamous Relationship
A workshop offered by The Wellness Education Centre that conveys the importance of trust, honesty and communication in relationships.
Conservatory
The Conservatory and its surrounds are officially called the Rutherford (OAC '51) Conservatory and Gardens. It is located on the south-west side of the UC and includes a restored conservatory greenhouse that was built in 1931, six thematic gardens, walkways, and shaded seating areas.
A short form used most often to refer to two different units, CECS and the Guelph Campus Cooperative. It is also a term used to refer to a specialization within a degree program that offers a Cooperative Education option, alternating school and work term semesters.

COU (c-o-u)
Council of Ontario Universities is a membership organization of Ontario’s 20 publicly funded universities and the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC). COU facilitates discussion between members institutions and and advocates on a wide range of university issues as well as co-ordinates a number of shared services for members.
Courselink
Courselink is a software program which assists with course administration, acts as a grades book tool, and allows for the set-up of course functions such as on-line quizzes and conferencing.
Cow Path
This is the name given to the stone path which runs along side the Dairy Bush and that leads from the west end of Reynolds Walk (on the west side of Gordon Street) to Edinburgh Road.

Counselling Services is located on UC Level 3 just outside of the South Elevator. They offer individual counselling sessions and support groups to help support students as they work through the personal challenges that impair their ability to succeed at school and in other areas of their lives.
