Marianna Horn, BScMSc Studentmhorn@uoguelph.ca |
Marianna's thesis project is investigating differences in the abundance and diversity of pollinators between various urban zones, including green, industrial, old residential and new residential zones in Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo. She started her MSc in Pollination Biology in Dr. Kevan's lab in January of 2007, after completing her BSc at McGill University in 2006, where she majored in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Social Studies of Medicine.

Andrew Morse, BScMSc Studentamorse@uoguelph.ca |
Andrew joined the lab in September of 2006. His Masters work is focused on pollination of greenhouse tomato using bumble bees (Bombus impatiens). Andrew aims to identify the floral characteristics which impact tomato’s pollination success by bumble bees, and how greenhouse environmental conditions affect those characteristics. Andrew received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2006, after completing an honours project focusing on the anatomy of R50 (sym 16), a mutant line of Pea (Pisum sativum L.).
