Greenhouse Tomato Project

Modern pollination of greenhouse tomatoes is effected by bumblebees. Bumblebeeactivity is affected by the type of plastic coverings used on differentgreenhouses. They tend to escape from greenhouses, especially on still, sunny, butcold winter days. The bumblebees perish outside the greenhouse. Our project seeksto understand more about bumblebee foraging on tomatoes in greenhouses and theeffects of light regimes that may stimulate or reduce escape responses.
