Research Summary: Increasingly, there is a disconnect between research conducted at universities and the issues, concerns and practical considerations around animal production in the field. This KTT proposal focuses on bridging this gap, in particular by engaging early career researchers with industry representatives and promoting two-way knowledge exchange and ideation between these two groups. Driven by industry representatives, this initiative will develop a series of workshops, farm-tours, popular science articles, future research-project-specific KTT plans, as an outcome.
